Huntingdon women’s tennis picks up second conference win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team returned to action for the first time in two weeks with a 9-0 win over Covenant on Saturday. The Lady Hawks opened the season with a pair of wins on Feb. 15, but weather forced the postponement and cancellation of last weekend's matches.

Huntingdon (3-0) improved to 2-0 in the Great South Athletic Conference with the win over Covenant.

The Lady Hawks picked up singles wins from Katie Scott (No. 1), Britni Thibodeau (No. 2), Hannah Still (No. 3), Taylor Clark (No. 4), Farrah Mahan (No. 5) and Arielle Barraca (No. 6). The teams of Scott-Micaela White (No. 1), Clark-Mahan (No. 2) and Rory Wilson-Deidre Corbin (No. 3) each won in doubles.

Huntingdon returns to action at home on Wednesday against Agnes Scott at 3:30 p.m.
